Final Post (Reflection)

Throughout the process of English 250 I have learned a lot about how to write and better support myself all thanks to Professor Robles. After reading the comments that were made about my assignment One, Two, and Six I thought I needed to only make small revisions to make them better assignments. For assignment number one I need to correct a few slip-ups so I read back over what I had wrote and then I read your comments. After reading them I went back and made some changes to make it a little bit better. I knew when I first started on my first assignment that it would now be as good as my later ones because I needed to know your expectations and how you grade out work. But I feel that on assignment number two that I theoretically knocked it out of the park compared to assignment number one. So when I started to revise assignment number two I used the comments that were written about my assignment and corrected them. For instances when you told me that I had the right idea about my second paragraph but it was to long and some what beating around the bush, I went back and made it shorter to get the point across quicker and still made my point in a shorter amount of words. I also went back and found some cites for the things you told me that I needed proof for. I felt that after I read my original essay that it would be beneficial that I cited my sources because it would help my essay out to show that I was not just making something up and that it was actually real. But for assignment Six I wanted to do so much more on my revision but with the PS4 and Xbox One coming out in a Few more months there really was not much I could base my studies off of because people do not know that much about them, they only know what has been presented to them at E3. But what I did was I took key to what you said in the comments and I got various pictures off of the internet and I used them for back grounds on my slide to help the viewer see what I was making my argument about. Doing so would help a lot because the viewer would not have to guess what the PS4 or the Xbox One looks like only my small description of the two. Then after placing the backgrounds on the slides I went back and re arranged the slides to better make my point. I saw when you made the comment that it seemed like my power point was thrown around so seeing that and changing the few mistakes I think I made my point clearer and better. So overall I think I did pretty well when I revised my three assignments but I know when you see them there is going to be more that I should have done but did not see at the time. After I closely evaluated myself I think that I meet the W.O.V.E. aspect of this class. The written portion was tough for me when I first started the class because I had to get use to the new writing style of English 250 but seeing at the end of the class I feel that I have gotten better since day one. Oral I would say is one of my strongest traits of the four because during English 150 I had to present five times so I had a good amount of practice to work on my many flaws. Visual was also one of my better traits. When I had to talk about the organization of any visual piece I feel that I did good because in English 150 I had to talk about art pieces all the time. Electronic would have to be third of the four all because I was not to handy when it came to editing my blogger account and using the class website to better help me in the class. But I feel that I have gotten better at using electronics from the first time I started the class. I have gotten better because I started toying with blogger and trying to make my blog fit me as a person. So all and all I feel that I met the requirements of the class although I could have done better I am happy for the progress that I have made. I feel that this class with transfer really well in my other up coming classes because I really had to think critically when I did anything in class. So triggering my brain like that all time will ultimately help me in the long run by getting better grades and staying focus to the tinniest details in my upcoming classes. In the professional world this class will help if I were to get a job being a journalist or just anything that deals with critical writing.  So thank you a lot Mr. Robles for helping me in your class and making me think more than I had to. I know this class with benefit me and I have no one but you to thank for it.
