Mid-Term Reflection

Mid-Term
Throughout this I believe that I have done a decent job with the WOVE aspect of the class. The written part has been something I needed to be refreshed to because the writing styles in English 150 are different from English 250. But I will get better as the class goes on, and with comments that I receive after my assignment it will show me what I need to improve on. Oral is something I am good at but if I would judge myself by my presentation I had last week I would think I was a bad speaker and have never spoken in front of a crowd before. I am usually prepared, focused and use stronger words that I did with my last presentation. When we present again I will be more prepared by using my friends to present to so I know what exactly to say. Also my word choice will be substantially better because I will revise my own speech and then I will be able to see what I need to fix. The visual part of the class I would say is my strongest because I feel that I can talk about the angles or the whole concept of a picture with just one look at it. Other than just looking at picture I think it is easier to write an argument about a visual because I know what I am looking at and some pieces are easy to read. But just like anybody there is always I need to approve on and I would say I could do better with making a strong argument. I could practice more with this by looking at ads and seeing whom the company is trying to sell their product to. Although I live in the age where most teens are good with computers I feel that I am not to handy with them when it comes to making portfolios, websites, and podcasts. This is something I think I really need to approve on because in the future everything is going to be run by something electronically. The way that I can help my self with this is playing around on my computer to see what its capabilities are. So with these goals set for myself I believe I will do outstanding in this class because I have improved in every assignment in this class and I do not plan on stopping.
